German-Russian Co-Development Fund
The German-Russian Co-Development Fund was brought to life in June 2011 by the German Federal Film Board (FFA), Mitteldeutschen Medienförderung (MDM), Medienaboard Berlin-Brandenburg and the Russian Cinema Fund. The purpose of the fund is to support the early development of German-Russian film productions and make an increasing number of co-productions between the two countries possible. The end product should be films aimed at not only the German and Russian film markets but also international audiences. The German-Russian Co-Development Fund is equipped with total volume of up to 150,000 euros per year. The FFA and the Russian Cinema Fund participate with 50,000 euros each, while MDM and Medienboard Berlin-Brandeburg each support the fund with 25,000 euros.
