Description

The diversity of locations offered by the Mitteldeutschland regions keeps attracting more and more film productions every year, leading to a most fortunate increase of locations of Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia being featured in films and on TV. For a production team to decide in favor of a location, many factors are considered: obviously scenic and architectural features, but also efficient infrastructure and the openness of mind with which filming is met locally.

The workshop is geared toward representatives of cities and towns in Saxony-Anhalt, with the objective of providing municipalities with information on how they can support filming work and how the MDM Film Commission can help. Producer Peter Hartwig and art director Angelica Böhm, both of whom have many years of experience with filming in Mitteldeutschland, accepted our invitation to share their views and expertise. Their speeches focused on a film crew’s hopes and needs regarding a production location.
