Planning and realizing film and TV productions has many location and production managers facing all kinds of legal issues. There is a wide variety of typical predicaments in which several distinct parts of German legislation may become relevant, e.g. general contract and labor law, liability law, the new set of debt and damages laws and the new laws on intellectual property.
Our speaker, Dr. Anne Breuer, is a lawyer with ZDF, a national public television station. She began by pointing out some of the most common legal problems and went on to suggest practicable strategies to help solve them. The workshop was geared towards providing participants with a basic awareness of legally relevant situations and towards enabling them to deal with them in a professional manner.
